Attorney, Family Law
The Bay Area United Way just completed a report stating that
22% of Marin families don't earn enough to pay for their basic
necessities. I could not personally help all those families who
are subject to an overwhelming financial crises each year, but
by joining the AAF Board, my small efforts are multiplied ten
times over. This is a rewarding feel good investment in my time
and money, and the need is so great!
Sarah Ryan, Vice President
Community Volunteer
One of my favorite things about Adopt A Family is the optimistic,
big-hearted, can-do spirit of the staff. It is a very positive
organization
that supports families in crisis and need. And as much as the monetary
assistance it gives, Adopt A Family doles out advice and encouragement
vital to restoring families to self-sufficiency. We hear every
day what it's like to benefit from the love,
compassion and wisdom of the Adopt A Family staff.
Ann
Coffey, Ph.D, Secretary
Psychologist
From the moment I first met the staff of AAF, I knew that this
was the agency where I wanted to put my time and money. They not
only accomplish the mission of preventing homelessness by supporting
families in crisis, but do so with compassion, warmth, and humor.
Tony
Campodonico, Treasurer
Campodonico Investment Corp.
AAF is an organization of caring, dedicated people, embracing
families in crisis with dignity, love and respect, while proving
effective solutions to their problems in a very cost effective
way. Sound impossible? Check us out. Over 18
years of success tells our
story best.

We in Marin County have a hard time understanding that not
every family will have a roof over their heads, or a way to feed
the children tonight. In our own neighborhoods, there are over
600 families in need of care, support and direct aid. Day by
day, every family in need should have people who care to assist
in building hope for the future. Adopt A Family is there and
I want to be there too.

ADVISORY COUNCIL
The Advisory Council of Adopt A Family of Marin includes individuals
who have contributed significantly to AAF
and/or the
larger
community.
We are pleased to have them provide ongoing leadership, support
and advice to the organization.

The folks at Adopt A Family
are what I would wish for the world. They understand the meaning
of equality in its most profound sense. When people can look
each other in the eye and recognize the fundamental bond among
us all, things in the world might settle down. In
the meantime it is crucial that we support those who possess
this understanding and act on it daily, moment by moment, and
with the reach of long-term vision.
Cal Bewicke*, Secretary/Treasurer
Pres. TransAtlantic Services
In a crazy world, Adopt A Family makes sense: a small group of extraordinary people, working every day to make a difference, one life at a time.
Robert Dornbush*
Energy Consultant
I love Adopt-A-Family because it is the only organization
in Marin that does what it does — provides a caring, sensitive,
and economically effective alternative to hard-working families
in time of special need.
Norm Hunter *
President, Summertime Films
I love AAF because, in addition to helping families out of
financial holes, the agency is good at holding their hands and
making sure they feel good about themselves despite the
setbacks they have endured.
Heidi Krahling
Chef/Owner Insalatas Restaurant
I am thrilled to be a part of Adopt A Family of Marin because
they embody the spirit of family. Family gatherings at
the table and the community are the heart and soul of my life
and of Insalata's Restaurant.
Julie McMillan

Adopt A Family provides the vital safety net so many deserving
families and children need when bad circumstances arise. Our
entire community benefits from Adopt A Family's caring staff,
its dedicated board and its generous supporters all standing
by to help these families recover their lives after crisis strikes.

Life for many can be unpredictable and challenging. What is a constant
is Adopt a Family of Marin's commitment to provide families
in dire need immediate, direct and compassionate assistance. For
me it's a no brainer. It makes me feel good that we touch
so many lives in such a productive and beneficial way.
Kathleen Woodcock*
Community Volunteer
I have worked closely with AAF for the past
4 years through The RVWL and I have truly grown to love the staff
and the organization. At AAF, we soften the fall for families
in crisis. Then, we gently raise them back up with dignity,
compassion and respect. I am honored to be associated with
AAF and to have the ability to touch the lives of so many families
right here in my own backyard.
